The Happiest Place on Earth Steve Rogers x Reader

"I can't believe you've never been here before" You said clutching your new boyfriends hand.

Steve smiled fondly at you. "Well Micky Mouse was around when I was a boy and me and Bucky used to listen to his radio show. The park wasn't opened until after I went into the ice and I haven't had time since I woke up"

"I'm so excited for you to see it" You smiled squeezing Steve's hand making him smile.

When you first met Steve it was during the battle of New York. While you were on your way to safety you saw a little girl trapped under some debree from a fallen building. You ran over to try and help her, and while you tried to lift the pile off of her, an alien came up behind you.

You had just enough time to get the girl out before the alien knocked you over the head. By then the little girl was long gone leaving you to fend off the alien alone. That's when Steve showed up and took the alien down with one hit of his shield. He introduced himself and personally escorted you to safety.

You never thought you'd see him again until you were hired by Tony Stark to help run the Avengers tower.   The day you moved in you bumped into him and he remembered you. The two of you became friends which quickly led to you two dating.

Your favorite thing to do together was have movie nights. Steve had a lot of catching up to do and it also meant he got to cuddle with you. That's how he learned you loved Disney. After he showed a liking to it, you quickly showed him every Disney movie you could find. That's what led to the brilliant idea to go to Disney World.

"I can't believe you dragged me here Y/n" Tony said rolling his eyes.

"Um Tony you wanted to come and were offended we left you out until Steve and I told you we were taking the team with us" You said laughing quietly with Steve.

Tony laughed. "Oh I know" He said ruffling your hair. "I'm just giving you a hard time"

Steve let out a chuckle before kissing you on the forehead. As you approached the entrance to the Magic Kingdom Steve pulled his dark blue baseball cap further down. Tony put on his sunglasses and all the others casually disguised themselves attempting to minimize their chances of being recognized.

Once in the park Natasha turned to all of you. "So we're all meeting back here at dusk for fireworks right?"

"That's the plan" Clint said with a smile as he balanced his daughter on his shoulders who in return giggled.

"Come on dad lets go" She said looking down at Clint.

"Alright" He smiled grabbing Laura's hand and taking his family deeper into the park.

Natasha and Bruce went off with Tony and Thor to do their own thing. So that left you and Steve alone to spend some time together.

As you made your way towards the castle, Steve stopped abruptly and looked down at his leg. A little girl no higher than his knee was looking up at him with big blue eyes hugging his leg tightly.

"You saved my daddy" She said hugging him tighter. "He was in New York"

Steve looked over at you and you smiled as he dropped your hand and knelt down to the little girls level. Even with his baseball cap it wasn't hard to recognize America's hero.

You watched Steve interact with the girl. He'd smile at her and say something to make her giggle then she'd give him another hug. It wasn't long before the parents noticed she was gone and came over to join their daughter. Steve shook the dad's hand and the girl gave him one last hug before they went back to their vacation.

"Sorry about that" Steve said coming back over to you and taking your hand again.

You smiled. "No problem. I didn't mind at all"

"Captain" A little boy called from behind you and Steve. Steve cringed at being recognized again and gave you an apologetic look. You chuckled and nudged him playfully as he turned around.

The little boy saluted him and Steve smiled and saluted back as he knelt down to his level. "Hey buddy"

It wasn't long before a swarm of kids and teens were all crowding around Steve. There was no hiding it now: Captain America was is Disney World. After a while you were pushed to the back and decided to stop fighting it.

One of the park workers came over to Steve with a few security guards and approached him. At first you were scared they were gonna kick him out, but the smile on the woman's face said otherwise. "Captain, we were wondering if you wouldn't mind meeting more people. We have a superhero section that you could stand in"

Only then did Steve realize that you were no longer by his side. He panicked and glanced around him desperately until his eyes locked with yours. He smiled sadly at you feeling bad that he had abandoned you. You in return gave him a bright smile and nodded that it was okay for him to go.

The guards escorted Steve through the mobs and toward the superhero exhibition. You followed behind a ways back watching how enthralled people were with him. It made you appreciate that he was all yours.

Once they reached the exhibition Steve took his place and a large line started forming to see the Star Spangled Hero. You sat down on a bench a bit ways away and actually enjoyed watching him.

You wondered if the other Avengers had any luck hiding from the adoring fans. You'd shamelessly admit that if you hadn't been dating Steve or met the Avengers before, you'd probably be just as excited to see them as everyone else.

You didn't mind watching Steve. He was so wonderful with everyone. He was adorable with the children, tolerant with the crazy teen girls, and charming with the adults. You especially liked him with the kids.

You hadn't realized how much time had gone by until the sun stopping shining on you because it had began to set. People had started to make their way towards the castle for the fireworks so Steve said goodbye to his last fan and made his way back towards you.

You stood up to meet him and he grabbed your hands. "I'm so sorry" He said kissing your forehead. "I know this isn't how you wanted the day to go"

"It's okay" You smiled. "I liked watching you with everyone, but at the end of the day you're all mine"

Steve smiled taking your hand in his and squeezing it. "And you're all mine" You blushed just like you always did when he looked at you like that. "Come on we have to meet the others"

As you walked back towards the front of the park the sun slowly slipped down beneath the horizon and the moon rose bright into the sky. You could see the other Avengers standing off to the side near the castle.

"Toy Story Mania was great" Natasha smiled. "I got the high score"

"I liked the Peter Pan ride" Tony grinned.

"Hey guys" Steve said approaching the group.

"Ah there he is" Tony smiled. "How was the meet n greet. I almost got in line. You should've hung with us Y/n. Probably would've been more interesting"

"Not necessarily" You said smiling up at Steve.

"Fireworks start soon" Clint said smiling. "We better pick a good spot"

"I know just the place" Bruce said outing towards a hill near the castle.

You all made your way over there and sat down in the grass. By now Steve had ditched his baseball cap, it was pointless now. You leaned your head on Steve's shoulder and he wrapped an arm around you pulling you closer.

The first stream of color burst into the air illuminating the sky a bright purple. As the fireworks continued you didn't notice that Steve was no longer watching them, he was watching you. He loved the way your face lit up just as a firework went off. He couldn't help but think you were the most beautiful girl he's ever met: inside and out.

Finally after awhile you glanced over at him and blushed under his gaze. "What?" You asked innocently.

"I love you so much" He said leaning in for a kiss. His lips were soft and warm and you couldn't help but smile.

"I love you too" You said as you both pulled away.

"I promise we'll do this again and I'm all yours"

"I'll hold you to that" You said as you leaned back against Steve and he wrapped his arms back around you to finish watching the fireworks.
